Briefing Session on the IMRF:

The Mayors Mechanism invites you to a briefing session for local and regional governments on the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) to be held on Wednesday 13 April 15:00-16:00 (CEST)

For the first time since the adoption of the UN Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM), Member States will come together to assess their progress towards at the IMRF (May 16-20, 2022). As the Mayors Mechanism prepares to elevate the voices of local and regional governments at the IMRF, we would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the process, share possible avenues for engagement and listen to your considerations and questions. 

This briefing forms part of the online peer learning event Migration & Displacement in Contexts of Crisis: What are LRGs doing?from April 11 to 13, but will be equally accessible to participants who want to tune in for just this segment and learn about the IMRF.
